Started in 2004 with the principles of divinity, devotion, and service, Shri Etteluthu Perumal Trust now takes care of nearly 1000 cows near the Thamirabarani river in Tirunelveli District. Every day, they provide food, medicines, and shelter for these innocent beings. But with limited resources and space that can only house 300–400 comfortably, they are constantly struggling to serve all of them.
At the centre of the gaushala stands a deity of Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva – a symbol of their devotion and service. Since its humble beginning, the Trust has rescued countless cows from abandonment and slaughter. They’ve cared for the sick, the injured, and the old with love and dignity. But due to financial constraints, their shelter building still remains incomplete, and their daily needs for fodder and medicines continue to grow.
