“We have found so many of them injured and almost dying. These helpless animals are abandoned by their owners because they’re of no use to anyone and soon their life ends in the most horrible conditions. We take them in and give them a safe home, they deserve happiness too,” - Maharaj Nand Kishore Sadhuji, Founder, Maa Yashoda Anath Nandishala.
Home to around 300 male calves, this is the only shelter in the entire Braj that looks after these animals who have nowhere to go. Located in Farah, Uttar Pradesh, this shelter home looks after the injured calves and gives them nutritious food as well.
They worship the mother but leave the son to die…
“They wander aimlessly on the Mathura-Agra Highway and often get run over or severely injured by fast-moving cars. The farmers also beat them up when they see them feeding on the crops out of sheer hunger. With no place to go and no food to eat, these nandis are then forced to meet an unfortunate end when they’re taken to slaughterhouses.”
This one-of-a-kind Nandishala is in need of support, donate now
While the gaushalas across the country receive donations and support, not many people come forward to help the nandis. But their pain and agony is no less than any other animal.
Nand Kishore Sadhuji is appealing to all of you to please come forward and donate fodder for the nandis and the construction materials so that they can construct a safe home for these injured animals. Even a small contribution will make a difference.
About the NGO: Founded by Nand Kishore Sadhuji, Maa Yashoda Anath Nandishala has been working for over a year now near Mathura and is a home to around 300 male calves. They feed them nutritious food and take care of them when they are injured.
